About the Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a key support role in the execution phase of our projects--helping turn estimates and plans into organized, successful jobs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with details, schedules, and documentation, and who wants to grow their understanding of how commercial and industrial projects are managed from start to finish.
You'll work closely with Project Managers, estimators, and field teams to support scheduling, material coordination, cost tracking, and communication throughout the life of each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with planning, coordination, and organization of active projects
- Help maintain project schedules, budgets, and material tracking
- Support job setup by organizing documents, scopes, and project information
- Track job progress and assist with updating schedules, logs, and reports
- Assist with reviewing change orders, invoices, and job cost information
- Communicate with internal teams and vendors to support smooth project execution
- Help ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date
- Support field teams with logistics, planning, and issue tracking
- Participate in project meetings and provide follow-up documentation as needed
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to read and understand construction documents (training provided if needed)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project management software experience a plus
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
- Experience or interest in construction, estimating, or project coordination is a plus
- Valid driver's license
Compensation
- Full-time position
- Starting salary: $50,000 to $60,000, based on experience and qualifications
